INTRODUCTION

The Nutcracker Prince and Marie need your help!

The evil rat king is threatening to invade the Land Of The Sweets and steal every last drop of candy!

He has promised to stay with his rat friends in the rat kingdom if you complete his tasks:

PROCESS

The rat king is starving! He wants to invade the Land of The Sweets and take over as king!!!

It's up to you to save The Nutcracker and his friends!

Get into groups of 4.

You will receive a "Nutcracker Journal" to record your answers, and document your trip!

During this webquest you will visit 4 sweets from the Land of The Sweets.

Follow the directions at the end of each page to collect candy for the rat king.

When you have collected each sweet, you have saved The Land of The Sweets,The Nutcracker, and Marie!

First you will read the ballet version of The Nutcracker.

(Think about how it contrasts to the storybook version we read in class.)

LASTLY, you will complete a special group project. You will learn about that later!
